Party

The image of a party in a dream should be seen as referring to the dreamer's relationship to his fellowmen. The events at the party often show complications and situations of conflict involving the dreamer and the world around him (beyond the immediate family circle).

Persecution Dreams

Persecution dreams, in diverse variations, are extremely frequent. However, these dream images should be seen as indicating that the dreamer should accept whatever is persecuting him. These are elements of the unconscious which are penetrating the consciousness.

Pig

In the gray mists of antiquity, the pig was a symbolic attendant of the Great Goddess, the ruler of the animals. She was also ruler of man's natural sexuality. The pig's popular connotations of prosperity and wealth (c.f. piggy-banks) still refer to this, as in this case the pig stands for potency in the sense of a creative force.

Plane Crash

A crash in an airplane dream can indicate that the dreamer has become too remote form the realities of life and is going to come down to earth with a bump.

Police Officer

A policeman personifies that function within the dreamer which regulates and orders things. A traffic policeman in a dream gives guidance in how to adapt to a family or social situation in the world around the dreamer.

Pot

In the mythology of primitive peoples, the pot symbolizes the mother's uterus. In fairytales, the pot is usually the container in which witches brew their potions. In a dream, the pot usually indicates an unconscious element.

Prison

With dreams which take place in a prison or dreams of being a prisoner, the psyche is indicating being imprisoned by mental images of the consciousness which, as a rule, do not coincide with reality. In this case, both intellectual and spiritual limitations can be indicated.

Prostitute

Prostitute in a dream should be regarded as aspects of the dreamer's own personality. Psychologically speaking, they represent anomalous people - women whose female emotions are stunted and under-developed. The prostitute symbolizes spiritual impoverishment and emotional indifference. This can refer either to the marital partner or to an attitude toward fellowman.

Public House ( Landlord, Landlady)

Extremely frequently, dreams occur which take place in a public house and in which the landlord or landlady plays a role. Comparable with the kitchen's significance as a dram symbol, the public house is a place where psychic energy is transformed. The dram often indicates unexpected surprises, where the figure of the landlord plays the role of the unconscious manipulator.

Pacify

Pacifying, or peacemaking dreams usually show that you want the people around you to be calmer and treat others with respect. If you are pacifying the tantrums of someone you feel is overbearing in your dream you will have an unhappy love affair. Dreams of making peace with yourself shows an inner goodness that you have been keeping bottled up.

Page (person)

To dream of seeing a page going about his normal business means you will become engaged to a hard worker but fail to control your weaker impulses toward other members of the opposite sex. If you dream of working as a page means you will get into some avoidable fiasco.

Pagoda

To see a pagoda in your dreams show that you will shortly be going on a journey. to touch the pagoda, it will be a long journey. Riding in a pagoda warns of a loss of love and/or the loss of a mate, or mate to be.

Pail

Dreaming of an empty pail can denote so many things, all of which are adverse; from hunger to loss. A full pail is a good omen of merit showing all manner of good things from love to money is about to enter your life. If the contents is milk then are you assured of domestic tranquility.

Pain

To see a beloved child or a spouse in pain denotes that your actions are harming them or threatening their future and this is a warning to change the way you do certain things. If you dream you are in pain it shows that you are punishing yourself over a useless cause or inconsequential action on your part.

Paint and Painting

If you dream your clothing is covered with paint spots denotes that you are troubled by thoughtless criticisms by others about yourself. A newly painted house or building denotes success in some endeavor. If you are doing the painting you will soon secure a good position of employment. If you see beautiful oil paintings this will denote false friends bearing witness against you.

Palace

To see a beautiful palace, lavishly furnished then you will know that your prospects of advancement in society is coming your way. To dream that you are on an equal footing, and may even dream you are the owner, will show that your rise is imminent and success is already in your hands. If the palace is seedy looking and dirty then you will have disappointments in your work.

Pall

To dream that you see a pall denotes that you will get some unhappy news shortly. If you raise the pall (covering ) from a corpse then you may be mourning a loved one very soon.

Pallbearer

If you dream of a pallbearer then you will have to watch your temper as someone will try to provoke you to violence. If you see them carrying a coffin this will indicate that you will lose your job through your own obnoxious behavior. This dream is a warning to change. If you are the pall bearer then expect an immediate rise in your status.

Pallet (bed)

To dream of making a pallet on the floor shows that you are in danger of losing a lover one through your actions and/or suffer uneasiness over the actions of a loved one. To dream of sleeping on a pallet shows that you have a rival who is very jealous of your success.

Palmistry

If you dream of having your palms read then you are in danger of becoming an object of suspicion and ridicule over some matter that you may have gossiped about. If you are the palm reader you will gain distinction through your hard work.

Palm Tree

Generally, a Dream of palm trees heralds hope and peace but if the tress are withered or in some manner blighted then will your peace be removed from you for a while and you may hear of some event that saddens you. To see one palm tree standing alone is an omen of the loss of a good friend.

Parents

To dream of your parents could be quite an involved thing and must be sorted out by consulting the rest of your dream. By and large the dream of a father is a dream symbol of authority which this parent has held over you, it could also represent power, or strength, or discipline. A dream of a mother is usually a dream that foretells a happy conclusion concerning a love interest as a mother represents love, protection, and nourishment of the body or the spirit. If a deceased parent speaks to you in a dream you will have some very good luck. Unfortunately to dream of parents in law you will soon become involved in an embarrassing situation.

Parking lot

If you dream of a parking lot you must use all the aspects of your dream to determine its meaning, as the lot by itself, has little significance in and of itself. A dark and scary lot where you fear being mugged is usually a warning type dream and it could actually be a true dream, in as much as it may be telling you to stay away from dark parking lots or take extra care when one must be used.

Picnic

If you dream that you are having a pleasant time at a picnic and you are with a loved one you are destined for much happiness in your marital life but if you are enjoying it alone this means you will be successful in your chosen field. Irritating aspects such as ants, or weather must be factored in accordingly.

Pool

If you should have a dream that features you as a pool player this is a warning that you should cultivate new friendships and stop running with the same old crowd. A pool of water in a lovely garden shows that you will have much success in love and marriage; a swimming pool indicates that you will enjoy many social gatherings with good friends. Of course, you must examine each aspect of the dream and if you are less then happy, or your life is threatened, then you must take everything to the opposite of what is written above concerning a pool of water.

Pregnancy

If the dreamer is a woman and you dream you are pregnant then you will see a big increase in your income, but if you are unwed and sad you will experience losses. For a man to dream that he is the father of the child he is warned about indiscriminate sexual relations and one night stands.
